Collection of maquettes

The collection contains a number of maquettes of Zadar from different historical periods, from Antiquity, through the Middle Ages, Renaissance, the period of Venetian conquest and finally a number of maquettes of Zadar from the XXth century, more precisely from 1910 when the larger part of the city walls was destroyed and when the waterfront was decked with buildings from the Austro-Hungarian period which disappeared during the Allies’ bombardment. One ought to point out the interesting maquette of the Italian concentration camp during WWII on the island of Molat.
