Collection of musical instruments

This collection contains musical instruments characteristic for the Dinara region (single barreled and double barreled flutes, shepherd’s flutes, flutes with bellows, one-stringed Balkan folk fiddles). From the Adriatic area a lyre has been preserved which is to be found only on the island of Silba, probably played for a shorter period of time, that is, at the end of the XIXth century. Otherwise, the mih (bagpipe) was characteristic for the Adriatic region. Various sheep or cattle bells, clappers used during Holy Week instead of church bells and the carnival horn are also a part of this collection.
